The Liberties of Cities in the Western Tradition
ABSTRACT
Conferees explored the ways in which towns and free cities in Western Europe and North America have contributed to the development of individual liberty by addressing historical accounts of cities, towns, and townships, as well as theoretical literature examining the place of cities and towns in the past and in the future.
