Flannery O’Connor: Grace, Responsibility, and Liberty


Conferees examined the extent to which Flannery O'Connor's fiction involves principles of political philosophy that are germane to liberty and responsibility. More specifically, the conference was organized around the challenges or obstacles to human flourishing, as O'Connor perceived them, and individuals’ responsibility to respond to the natural and divine grace that will help them to overcome such challenges.
